Ok so I have had my instant pot for awhile now, and I have to say I am loving the convenience of this multi use unit! My particular instant pot is the Duo plus, it basically does everything u can literally think of haha! From the obvious Pressure-Cooking, slow cook, perfect every time 👍 rice maker, bread/cake even! There’s a yogurt/cheese maker, oatmeal, there’s buttons for meat, chili, beans, which is a great one to have for anyone who uses dried beans, no more do u have to soak them, awesome! Honestly they turn out great! My sweetie was less than thrilled when he saw it, thinking it was just another slow cooker, and what the heck do we need it for, we already have one, lol….That was before, now he’s making his famous chili, in the instant pot, and searing up pot roasts on Sunday afternoons.😀 I couldn’t love it more, it cuts cooking time down to 1/2, everything we have tried has turned out excellent, so it’s a no brainer, even from frozen! There is a sauté button on the instant pot so u can sear ur meat, sauté ur garlic and vegetables, before cooking, great for those sceptical about having enough flavour/ grill marks compared to bbq and stove top/oven cooking. Anyhoo, I have been really impressed with the clean up of my instant pot, too, you can go ahead and put the inner cooking pot and the lid, after removing the venting nozzle, and the rubber sealing gasket, this u can soak in 1/2 cup of white vinegar and 1/2 cup hot water this will help to remove doors, stains and food reside.Just remember to rinse well after. A few of our favourite recipes are Mongolian beef, prime rib, chili, mashed potatoes, peppercorn steaks, just to name a few, ohhh, and I love the convenience of throwing a pound of frozen hamburger in for last minute tacos or nachos, takes 5 minutes from frozen👍😀! Tonite I’m making pok chops, how about you?
As a lover of all things beauty products, make up, hair products, etc, of course primers are on that list, and so I thought I would do a review of a couple that I have been using back and forth rather consistently until recently, which hastened my need to do the review with my results:) Anyhooo, the contenders are NYX PORE FILLER, and KEIL’S micro blur skin perfector. When comparing formulas, NYX is heavy hitting in dimethicones, crosspolymers and silicas, etc., which is all that you want and expect when looking for a primer. When I first started using it, I was quite happy with it, the formulation, is thick, covers well, and claims of minimizing pores and giving a doll like finish to your face, I actually agreed with for the first little bit, maybe 2 weeks of using it, but then the texture changed, or got dry, Anyhoo, it’s not Lux going on anymore. Now as I was saying Iwas going back and forth between the two primers, the KEIL’S micro blur skin perfector ingredients are much the same as NYX, dimethicones, crosspolymers, silicas, but it also has glycerin, which acts as a humectant or moisturizer, lipo hydroxy acid, bark and lentil extracts. I have to say, right from the get go, I knew this was the one for me, but like I said I was still using both back and forth to see a comparison. However after seeing the texture change in the NYX, making it nearly impossible to put on my skin, and with the skin loving ingredients in KEIL’S, I have to say, they are a sure fire winner in my eyes! No offence, to NYX, of course, it isn’t terrible, I just prefer the KEIL’S micro blur skin perfector, and I will too:) Anyhoo, I will continue to review, please comment, let me know what you think of these products too!💕Let me know what your favourite primer is💕
I’m sold! Ok so I probably shouldn’t be starting my reviews with a “I’m sold !”right off the hop, but what can I say, it’s amazing! When compared to other liquid foundations, the viscosity is silkier and smoother, which obviously plays to the success of the partnership of the covergirl/ Olay formula. Instead of creeping into our wrinkles it creates a beautiful new flawless complexion, plumping up the skin and giving it a youthful, dewy appearance:) It has a very light scent. I have to say that while I’m no stranger to compliments;)…..holy Hanna, when I put this stuff on, it’s like I was a hot topic at the water cooler, lol.
Normally, I am a primer girl first, then foundation, then powder, for this review, I tried it without primer, and without powder , to see how it would hold up over a days wear, and I was blown away impressed with the results, by the end of the day there was a bit of shine to my skin but beyond minimal compared to normal, but the feel, and firmness of my skin, it felt and looked refreshed. My eyeshadow, normally would be gone at this point, even with a primer, but even with out a primer, and just this foundation, everything stayed where it should, looked a lil worn, but never the less, doable.Sorry I didn’t capture a photo of these results. I did get a picture of the next day results. So the next day I wore it, I use a brush, the website recommends a sponge, either would , comes in 12 colors, I use creamy natural 220, it is a perfect match:) Anyhoo, a little go’s a long way too, which I like too, cuz, this will set you back a pretty penny(or 2), but believe me, after you use it once, and realize you don’t even need primer, or powder, anymore:) at least (I didn’t )that will save ya in the long run😘 Being beautiful ain’t cheap😘 This will not be my last bottle that’s for sure:)
Bottom line is go get some……as soon as you’re done reading my blog😘💕
