Forever and a day I have been uber creative, very DIY EVERYTHING, and when I found Etsy as a portal to sell my homemade wares, I was in love💕  You can sell anything and everything made by you, from soaps to jewelry, clothing, purses, fragrances, cards, knit/crochet items, toys, artwork, etc. Myself, I sell jewelry, clothing , knit/crochet, soaps, purses, leather goods, artwork. Presently, my store is quite bare, lol, as I am just now getting back to things from being off from my brain surgery, but don’t worry it will be stuffed to the rafters again real soon, I’m a busy lil bee working away on some new things, bright new fresh ideas, hope you like them enough to want to buy them, and take them home 🙂 Look forward to showing you some of my new products as they get created and go up for sale💕💕

The power of Fitbit

Standard

There is something about this little device that rules your world, not in a bad way, but in  good, motivational way, like a good buddy, smacking you in the ass pushing you on that last little bit so you can hit your step goal! YAAAYYY!! You made it ! lol, the power of this band has kept me pretty focused to lose over 50 lbs now, it has helped keep me on track with my water and calorie intake(when I remember to input the info, lol), tells me how many calories I’ve burned, stairs climbed, etc, etc, etc. Depending on which one u have it keeps your heart rate and your exercise, everything, they are awesome lil gadgets, and are highly motivating when you start to see results, especially then:)

I have the fitbit charge, pretty awesome, by fitbit standards, I think, middle of the road, in the line up, and my  001 got me the fitbit Aria wifi smart scale to go with it, I like having it as it automatically syncs my info(weight/fat%) to my fitbit profile.Fitbit, you are evil temptresses, adding the gorgeous Alta and Blaze, to the line up, how to choose,  for me its definitely between these two! tee hee!! Loving the new colors, I have to say, too! Another bonus I love is that you can sync the fitstar and fityoga app work outs with your fitbits for that total work out feeling and sense of accomplishment:) I truly have been pretty impressed with the quality of the products, I think they motivate you to have fun, get fit, and thats really what it all about 🙂

OH!! One more thing, always looking to add more people to do challenges with, and to motivate each other, so if you have a fitbit tracker, lets do a challenge:)

Ciao for now,♥♥

Meet My Lil Murray💕💕💕

Meet My Lil Murray💕💕💕

This little guy came into our life about 3 years ago now, I had lost my mom, was grieving soo much and he brought me alot of comfort and happiness when i needed it most💕 It turned out though, that he needed us, just as much! When we got him he was just a lil guy, about 12 weeks old I think, a cute lil fur ball, haha! He was having some tummy troubles so we took him to the vet, figured it was the food he had been given, by the previous owners, worries we thought, we will get something better. Then the worst happened! A few weeks later, after his condition seemed to worsen, even with his diet change, exercise, my lil Murray, wasnt himself. It was then I noticed that his side was bulged out and I rushed him to the vet. It turned out that lil Murrays previous owners had fed him all manner of things adult food and the like, at this point in our ownership was barely 2 weeks, our vet said the damage and scar tissue was months old, kept opening, and healing and opening and healing til it finally ruptured while with us, thankfully we got him there quickly, unfortunately they couldn’t do the meticulous repair that was necessary to fix him properly, so we had to take him for another operation to Michigan. We of course went, Murray now had two assholes, and only needed one, and Michigan was the place to go to fix those sorts of problems. Well its been years now since that operation, they had to reconstruct a new bum for him, lol, now he’s the happiest lil shih tzu on earth💕 We spoil him rotten, he struts around like he owns the place, haha, our daughters think we have lost our minds when it comes to lil Murray💕💕He is a character, that is for sure, has a routine in the morning, has to sit on the chaise by the window, with his favourite toy💕 I look forward to seeing what he’s going to do next, lol! He is a very silly shih tzu:) There are a ton of stories i will share next time….

Baking Artisan bread

Standard

image

This is a follow up to this morning, when I was telling you about my baking adventure, lol! Unfortunately I forgot to mention where I got the recipes from, haha! As I said it was a birthday gift, the name of the book is,” Artisan breads in 5 minutes a day”. Anyhoo, so far I have made focaccia, sunflower seed/flax, white, bagels, and a traditional rustic loaf, and all have been top notch except the rustic loaf, which was my first one, I didn’t let it bake long enough, nor did I pre heat the Dutch oven long enough I believe, as the rest I have done to perfection!:) Of course now that I’m trying  to get healthier it’s more difficult to leave these things behind me so I have to just do them differently, and in moderation, with different flour, is key💕 I definitely recommend this book for anyone wanting to have special breads in their kitchen, delicious!!

Up next, I’ve got a brioche dough chilling in the fridge, it makes 4 one pound loaves so I will bake one and freeze the rest:) This dough is great for dessert options too as it has a rich and sweet flavour to it:)

How you doing??

Hope everyone had an amazing Easter with family and friends !💕 I unfortunately still had my migraine, which had moved to behind my eyes,  causing me to be  violently ill, and cry like a baby:( not a good combo for family gatherings . I was so hoping to be done with it by then, but it was a doozie! Right now as I write, remnants remain, and I am nervous it is going to return again, thought this was behind me, I guess at least I am used it …??Anyhoo, on a happier note I made a fabulous salad for the dinner as my contribution, it was my take on a tomato avocado salad, and it was a winner 👍🏻

I have felt a real pull to bake lately so I decided last nite to bake a loaf of  Foccacia   bread, from starter, and an amazing bread recipe book she gave me for my birthday💕

Then I thought I would whip up some zucchini bread  for a  quick snack  for my sweetie,  001, as he likes to be called, 😘  For when he’s at work:)  Today I have to make another batch of the DIY Kind bars they do not last around here, lol!

Thats all for right now but I will be sharing a sewing project later today, so ttyl💕

Excuse me,uh, one more thing….

Standard

Any Columbo fans? Well this famous tag line fits the bill in my life as I usually always have one more thing to say, haha! In this case, it’s regarding Narcolepsy. I was diagnosed a few years ago after a sleep study was conducted. It was revealed that I was falling asleep in under 30 seconds. We were hopeful that the symptoms were a part of the hydrocephalus, unfortunately, they are not, however they were intensified by my condition, before my brain surgery. Since my surgery, just over a year now,:) symptoms are far less, but still present, but we deal with them.  As a skill set, falling asleep in under 30 seconds is nothing to brag about, and its not getting u that dream job, unless maybe sleep country is hiring bed testers;) Anyhoo, onward and upward that’s  all we can do, just be positive, right? All I know is I am wayyyyy better than I  was, so that is a blessing, oh, and sleep country if you are reading this, and you do need a bed tester, I’m your girl:)

If this was a dance competition, I’d win for sure!;)

Standard

This is ahhhh… Let’s see day 5-6 of my lovely migraine, and it seems to not be going anywhere…anytime, lol. This rainy, stormy weather is also a beautiful accompaniment, or “dance partner” to my migraine symptoms. Struggling for years with migraines, extreme sleepiness, falling, temporary blindness, intermittent facial/body paralysis, passing out, etc, etc, etc, and seeing a bajillion doctors I had brain surgery or ETV, Endoscopic third ventriculostomy, which is a surgical procedure to treat hydrocephalus,  fluid build up on the brain, to correct these issues and hopefully give me back my life. It did pretty much just that, for eight months after surgery, I felt better than I had ever felt before, EVER!  I was off all meds from before the surgery, didn’t need anything for pain, I felt amazing! Then I started to decline pretty rapidly, the old tell tale signs started to come back, migraines, and the like, as much as I didn’t want to succumb to medication again, I knew I would not be able to bare the pain on my own, that’s where I’m at now, and if you’ve ever experienced migraines you will know what I’m talking about;) Anyhoo, Im just giving a little back story for those that don’t know me, and I’m venting a little as my migraine is STILL here, and it’s officially now just over a year since my ETV surgery, I’m now wondering about what the future is going to hold. I will keep you posted on my arch nemesis, the migraine;)
